Fuel Surcharge Update
Diesel prices have risen sharply since late February, as much as 88% at our Cobb County yard. From Feb 28 through Oct 15, we paid about $92,600 more for diesel than we did at the start of the year.
To keep up with these costs, we will be adjusting the fuel surcharge on an ongoing basis. The surcharge is based on the cost of your load, and we will review it each month against what we pay for diesel. Any change will start on the 1st of the month, and current rates are posted at the scale house.
The surcharge may go up or down from month to month as diesel prices change.
Fuel surcharge and oversize trunks
Add 50% to the load fee for any trunk over 20 inches across, any length. Example: a $13 load becomes $20.
Added to loads based on the load fee. No surcharge on $8 loads. Rates change monthly and are posted at the scale house.
